Obituary for Harvey L. "Hamp" Montgomery
Harvey L. Montgomery affectionately known as “Hamp”, was born August 30, 2014 to Hosie and Mary Montgomery in Gadsden, AL being the third child born into this union. Harvey passed away gracefully on October 17, 2014. He was preceded in death by his Father, mother, his sister Evelyn and brother’s Oscar and Hosie Montgomery Jr.
As a young boy he attended Carver High School in Gadsden, Al.
Hamp later went on to work for Gulf State Steel where he retired. He enjoyed fishing, cars, trucks and he had a love for doing carpentry work.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Annie G. Montgomery. He leaves two Sons, Sanford (Trussia) Montgomery and Lashawn Montgomery both of Gadsden, AL.; A sister, Flora Dell Montgomery.; Sister-in –laws, Sandy Montgomery, Theresa(Billy) Parker, Clara(Stanley) Woods and Lisa (Corey) Nichols. Aunt, Leola Reynolds.
Harvey leaves a host of nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
