Life Story for Anna Maudell "Granny" Pace

Anna Maudell "Granny"  Pace
Mrs. Anna " Maudell" Burnhart-Pace was born the seventh child of Lemuel and Sarah Burnhart on February 27, 1925. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age.

At the age of fifteen, Maudell met and married the love of her life, Rev. Edward Delmus Pace, and on December 1, 1940 they exchanged wedding vows. To this union six children were born.

Affectionately known to many as " Granny', some may not have known that she had a heart of gold. She and her husband opened their home to several persons that just needed a place to rest their head.- where they could feel love. They became a part of the family. Dorothy(" Chunky") Grace, Exie Ann Pogue Woods, Dewayne Woods and Frankie Howze.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Lemuel and Mrs. Sarah Burnhart; One daughter, Doris Pace-Hightower; nine brothers. two sisters and her granddaughter, Marla L. Cunningham. Maudell was the last of eleven siblings.

She leaves to Cherish her precious memories, her loving children; her daughters, Odessa Pace Evans, Covia Pace Cunningham and Patricia Pace Cunningham, all of Gadsden, Alabama; her sons, Edward T. Pace(Minnieeeee) and James D. Pace, both of Gadsden, Alabama; her god-children, Era(TIm) Vinson, Ervin (Kathy) Brisker, Jim( Lorraine) Singleton and Ms. Ruby Foster; one sister in law, Sharon Burnhart; one son-in-law, Willie F. Hightower; grandcildren, Wanda ( Ronald) Cowser, Kathy (Brian) Farrah, Donna Evans, Frankie (Reginald) Huff, Donnay (Thomas) Evans, Corey (Sheryl) Pace, Marquis ( AiPheeng) Pace, Judge Preston Cunningham, Mintora(Juilo) Aguila and Brandon Hawkins; Fourteen Great-grandchildren and six great- great- grandchildren; and a host of many more relatives and dear friends.
