Claudia Beatrice Fears was born August 7, 1921 to the parentage of the late William and Ludie Kirksey Young in Gadsden, Alabama. She received Christ at an early age at the Fire Baptize Holiness Church. Claudia graduated from the Caver High School in 1941 with Honors and also an graduated of Cosmetology College in Atlanta, GA. She also taught an elementary school for several years. Later in life Claudia accepted the call into the ministry and was ordained as a minister. She was also "First Lady" and "Mother" of the Pure Holiness Church.

Claudia was preceded in death by her husband the late C. F. Fears, a son, Charles Frank Fears, and several siblings.

She leaves to cherishes her memories five sons, Ralph (Eleanor) Fears of Chicago, IL; Tyrone (Cynthia) Fears of Gadsden, AL; Mitchell (Euradell) of Rural Hall, NC; Richard L. (Carolyn) Fears of Odessa, TX; Samuel L. Fears of Gadsden, AL; daughters, Velma L. Fears of Greensboro, NC; Glenda Fears McNeal of Salem, OH; Yvonne Fears Brewer of Atlanta, GA; sister, Willie B. Allen of Anniston, AL; sister-in-law, Katherine Young of Compton, CA; a special nephew, Carl Mack of Phenix City, AL; sixteen grandchildren; thirty great grand children; eleven great great grandchildren.
