Obituary for Gerald Gallagher
On the night of Monday, March 30, 2015, God was having a conversation with Gerald. In the
conversation, God said, “Gerald, nine days I’ve kept you here” he asked him, “son do you know the
reason why?” After a brief moment of thinking about the question asked, with a sense of humor he
replied, “I don’t know God. In fact, I was about to ask you.” God responded Gerald, nine day’s I’ve kept
you here, the number nine represents divine finality. The lord went on to explain divine, means “like
God” and finality means” Irreversible”. In his closing, he told Gerald, “Son, before I could take you away,
I wanted to make perfect your spirit man before doing the irreversible, to ensure you looked like me.” At
9:47 that night the spirit of Mr. Gerald Gallagher was ushered into the presence of The Lord. Funeral
Services for Mr. Gallagher, age 62, will be held Monday, April 6, 2015 at United Christian Church at 1:00
p.m. with Apostle Maurice Wright, Officiating with interment taking place at Lincoln Hill Memorial Park.
Public visitation to be held Sunday, April 5, 2015 at Prestige Memorial Funeral Home Chapel from 6-
8p.m. He leaves to cherish his precious and loving memories his loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Barbara
Gallagher of Gadsden, AL; Children, Shantoria, Jermeiqua, Shondreya and Jaelyn Gallagher all of
Gadsden, AL. Sons, Qunitus Woods of FL. and Jason Patton Birmingham, AL.; Siblings, Perry Tompkins,
Deborah Foster, Barry, Reva, Muriel and Reginald Gallagher all of Birmingham, AL. He leaves five
grandchildren, Mother-in-law Ms. Linda Green, a host of nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Final
