Shirley M. Champion, 61, Gadsden, Ala., went home to be with the Lord Sunday, July 6, 2014, after an extended illness.
Shirley was preceded in death by parents, Alvin and Mildred Simpson of Hokes Bluff, Ala.
Shirley is survived by son, David (Sherry) Simpson; grandchildren, Jamie and Shelby Simpson of Ohatchee, Ala.; two sisters, Birdie (Fred) Lentz, Vilonia, Ark., and Billie (Danny) Cushen Hokes Bluff, Ala..; numerous cousins, aunts, nieces, nephews and friends; special caregiver, Chantelle Brown; and her pet, Daisy.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date for family and friends.
